Unruh and Brackett Receive Illinois State Bank's Gordon Larsen Scholarship

Unruh to attend Illinois Wesleyan University; Brackett to attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth

LAKE IN THE HILLS, Ill. - Illinois State Bank today announced that Karin Unruh and Lauren Brackett have received the Gordon Larsen Memorial Scholarship. The students will receive a scholarship each year for four years, provided they remain in good academic standing. Unruh plans to attend Illinois Wesleyan University and will major in elementary education. Brackett plans to major in health sciences at Texas Christian University in Forth Worth.

The Gordon Larsen Memorial Scholarship was established as a memorial to Illinois State Bank's founding Chairman Gordon Larsen. Larsen served as Chairman of the Board until his tragic death in a car accident in November 2003. The purpose of the scholarship is to highlight and promote the growth of service, leadership and ethical business practices in young people in the area. The scholarship is awarded by the Algonquin/LITH Rotary Club.
