"We're so proud to be celebrating 10 years in McHenry County and we're looking forward to a terrific day," said Marie Smith, vice president - district manager for Illinois State Bank. "We're especially glad to be able to offer free document shredding to the entire community - that's part of our mission to provide top-quality service to our customers and keep their private information safe."
As part of the anniversary celebration, Illinois State Bank will also offer savers something they haven't seen since 1984 - a 10-percent rate of return on a one-year, $1,000 CD. "There's been a lot of interest in this one-time-only offer - a 10 percent CD to celebrate our 10th anniversary," Smith said. "That's more than double the going rate, and we hope to see a good crowd visit our branches during this 10-year celebration."
